1A.1 – Organization and Administration

Part 1: Principles. Lake Superior College’s (LSC) administrative structure is organized to accomplish the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The College’s administrative structure may occasionally change in order to adapt to changing conditions, to serve the best interests of students, employees, the community, and for optimal operation of the College.

Part 2: Administration

Subpart A: The President is charged with providing overall leadership to the College.

Subpart B: President’s Cabinet. The President’s Cabinet (PC) advises the President and has a critical role in the planning and decision-making process. PC consists of the following:

  1. President
  2. Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs
  3. Vice President of Administration
  4. Director, Public Affairs and Advancement

Subpart C: Administrators Council. Administrators Council (AC) is a consultative body that shares information, discusses issues, seeks consensus, and provides recommendations to the President’s Cabinet. AC is composed of the following unclassified, at will, administrators:

  1. President
  2. Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs
  3. Vice President of Administration
  4. Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences
  5. Dean of Student Life
  6. Dean of Business and Industry
  7. Dean of Allied Health and Nursing
  8. Director of Human Resources
  9. Director of Public Affairs and Advancement
  10. Executive Director of Workforce Development
  11. Associate Dean of Student Affairs

Subpart D: In Absence of the President. The numbered list of administrators in Subpart C shall apply, in descending format. For the purposes of administrator-in-charge, the aforementioned list reflects who is in charge in absence of the President.

Part 3: Organization. LSC shall maintain regularly updated organizational charts. These can be found at http://www.lsc.edu/About-LSC/ or obtained from the Office of the President.
