Virtual Campus

Getting Started

Lake Superior College Virtual Campus is a convenient opportunity for motivated students who have computer skills and feel they can communicate well through reading and writing. This program is ideal for people with busy schedules because class work can be completed at any time, day or night. Our virtual classrooms are asynchronous, so you choose when you're ready to ?go to class.?

With an Internet connection students can log onto online courses and participate anywhere, anytime. All courses are taught by instructors who develop the curriculum, conduct the classes, lead discussions, give assignments, answer questions, post quizzes, assign grades, and more.

We strongly recommend taking the Readiness Assessment before enrolling in an Online course. Important considerations highlighted by the self-assessment include:

  • You won't have in-person access to an instructor or other students
  • You must have strong study skills
  • You must be self-disciplined and self-motivated
  • This is a serious commitment of your time and energy
  • You must be comfortable with the required technology
  • You must be willing and able to work independently

Earn your Physical Education credits by training for and running in Grandma's Marathon or Half-Marathon. Other unique opportunities for P.E. credits are coming soon.
