Manufacturing Auxiliary Classroom (MAC) brings an increased awareness of manufacturing careers through career exploration to classrooms in the Duluth-area by providing equipment not available or too costly for individual school districts to purchase. Students will be introduced to manufacturing careers by providing hands-on learning in machine tool, welding, and automation technologies.
Lake Superior College (LSC) is dedicated to providing high quality, affordable higher education that benefits diverse learners, employers, and the community. The MAC initiative will help reduce the cost of Career and Technical Education (CTE) instruction for regional K-12 schools.
MAC provides industry standard equipment in such areas as:
- Welding—including virtual welding
- CNC equipment
- 3D equipment
