Work Study Job Openings
How do I get hired for a work study job?
Available work study jobs are listed at http://www.lsc.edu/FinancialAid/wkstuintro.cfm
Review the jobs that are posted and contacted the supervisors for the jobs that interest you. You will be required to interview for each position. Please note that you are not guaranteed a job. Work study eligibility merely means you are eligible to apply for work study positions. As jobs are limited, you will want to begin applying as soon as the term begins.
What if I'm not hired for a job?
If you remain interested in pursuing a Work Study position, you should continue to check the Work Study job posting site as new jobs are posted throughout the term. If you are not hired, you will not be able to take advantage of Work Study funding.
What paperwork do I have to complete if I'm hired for a position?
You will need to complete a Work Study contract and provide payroll information. All paperwork must be completed prior to starting work. See Betsy Jacobson in the Counseling, Advising and Career Center.
What if I find out I don't like the work study job I'm hired for?
It is expected that you will notify your supervisor in writing and give a two-weeks' notice before leaving the position. You are still eligible to apply for other positions on campus.
