A World-class Training Center for
Fire Fighters

Technical training related to the Fire Technology and Administration Program is provided at the Emergency Response Training Center (ERTC), a world-class facility that features one of the most advanced aircraft rescue and fire fighting simulators in service. The simulator features a two-thirds scale mock-up of a 757-jet aircraft, situated on a 125-ft diameter burn pit with 98 computer controlled burn segments and an almost unlimited number of programmable fire scenarios.

Built in 1994, the ERTC offers continuing education programs for fire fighters and other safety professionals, including Minnesota's largest sectional fire school.
