Lake Superior College(LSC), at Duluth, Minnesota, in conjunction with Minnesota Department of Transportation(Mn/DOT), offers education and training courses each year for those wishing to obtain certification. These courses are open to anyone wanting to attend, including Mn/DOT employees, city & county employees, employees of engineering, construction or consulting firms, and those in private industry.
ERTC - Emergency Response Training Center
Technical training related to the Fire Technology and Administration Program is provided at the Emergency Response Training Center (ERTC), a world-class facility that features one of the most advanced aircraft rescue and fire fighting simulators in service. The simulator features a two-thirds scale mock-up of a 757-jet aircraft, situated on a 125-ft diameter burn pit with 98 computer controlled burn segments and an almost unlimited number of programmable fire scenarios. |
