What is Continuing Education?
Continuing Education refers to classes that award continuing education units (CEUs) instead of credit, regardless of whether a student has taken college classes before. The classes listed to the left are non-transferrable and are not part of the degree or certificate programs offered through the credit side of the college. Students who are looking for credit offerings or classes that lead to a degree or certificate, click here and search our credit offerings in the subject drop-down list.

Each link at the left takes you to the most current information about the class. All courses listed on this page require full payment at the time of registration. Registration is online unless stated otherwise and each class link leads to the registration page.

What is Customized Training?
Customized training involves identifying and assessing individual, agency, or organizational needs and designing outcome-based training options to address those needs.
Simply put, we work with you to determine your educational needs, develop a training program targeted to meet those needs, and then deliver it to your organization. Delivery can be done at your location or held in one of the Lake Superior College state-of-the-art classrooms.

Customized training is just that; customized to what will meet your needs. In essence, it reduces training time by including only topics that are applicable to your needs, therefore maximizing your training budget! Let your employees focus on your core business and let us focus on your training needs which is our core business. Lake Superior College -your local training partner!

NATO TESTING INFO:
Open enrollment NATO testing ended at Lake Superior College last year. We continue to provide the test to students who are enrolled in our CNA classes as a part of those classes. High school concurrent enrollment students should check with their instructor. To access a list of other test sites in Minnesota, please click the following link to the Minnesota Department of Health statewide directory: NATO test site info. The closest alternative site is Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Cloquet. To find out more about their testing options, email training@fdltcc.edu and include your name, complete mailing address and that you are requesting information on the state test for CNA's. Closed enrollment (contractual groups) NATO testing will be available at Lake Superior College through the WFCD Division as a Custom Training opportunity. Please contact Steve Wagner at (218) 733-5934 to discuss the needs of your group.
