ACADEMIC PROBATION

Academic Probation can be a stressful experience, but it doesn't have to be. Advisors are here to help you think through solutions, come up with a plan & explain the facts of the policy.  Put simply, we are here to be an ally and resource as you get back on track!

Students on probation are required to meet with their advisor prior to registering.

Questions to think through prior to meeting with your advisor:
1) What is going to change?  What specific things can you do differently?
2) What factors led to being on probation?
3) What are your goals? Why are you at LSC?

Measures of Academic Probation

LSC looks at two things to determine if a student is on academic probation:

1) Cumulative Grade Point Average: below 2.0 GPA places you on probation.

2) Cumulative Completion Rate: below 67% completion.
