High School Admissions Process

The Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) program allows high school juniors and seniors in Minnesota high schools and home school students to enroll in college level courses and receive both high school and college credit. It is also available to 10th graders who meet the criteria to enroll in specific Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses.

How Do I Qualify:

  • Juniors must rank in the top third of their high school class. If the school does not compute high school rank, students may be admitted on the basis of a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Seniors must rank in the top half of their high school class. If the school does not compute high school rank, students may be admitted on the basis of a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • 10th graders: Must have taken the 8th grade MCA reading test in the 8th grade and have met the composite proficiency level of meets or exceeds.

Deadlines for PSEO applications:

  • Fall Semester – June 9th
  • Spring Semester – December 15th
