Two representatives of the Higher Learning Commission will visit LSC April 2-4 to conduct a Quality Checkup Visit. A Quality Checkup Visit is required preparation for an institution’s formal site visit for Reaffirmation of Accreditation the following year. Quality Checkup Visits are intended to serve two broad purposes:
First, the reviewers assess the institution’s satisfaction of HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation, the accuracy of the institution’s accreditation documentation, and the institution’s commitment to quality improvement.
Second, the reviewers conduct a federal compliance review to ensure the institution is complying with all Title IV (financial aid) requirements, as well as additional federal regulations that HLC enforces on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education.
Prior to the visit, LSC submitted two required reports: (1) Quality Program Summary, and (2) Federal Compliance Materials.
