LSC Virtual Campus

Physical Education courses are now available at LSC for students living at a distance or who otherwise want to take advantage of the P.E. offerings through LSC Online.

Note: If you do not have an LSC student account, you can register for these courses using a Special Registration form. LSC students should use the normal online registration portal.

NOTE: Special course dates of December 5, 2007 - March 7, 2008. Registration deadline is December 12, 2007.

PE 1655: X-Country Ski Marathon - 2 credits. A virtual training course that covers the nutritional and conditioning information related to cross country (Nordic) skiing; plus required participation in a distance ski race. (Course registration ID# = 000849)

Note: In addition to tuition and fees for two credits, there is a special fee of $50 per student.

Non-Credit Continuing Education X-Country Ski Marathon - Non-credit course $150 for tuition and fees. Same training advice and instruction as the for-credit course, but without the college credits. Registration in this course also provides a guarantee entry in the February 2008 Birkebeiner or Kortelopet.

Registering for either LSC course gives each student a guaranteed entry into either the American Birkebeiner or the Kotelopet race on Saturday, February 23, 2008 in the Cable/Hayward, Wisconsin area. To maintain flexibility for distant learners, students may also complete the course requirements by training for and skiing a comparable race at a different location (NOTE: the special fee is charged to all students, but a guaranteed, paid race entry is only available for the Birkebeiner or Kortelopet).
