Executive Summary 2003 Grad Survey
Total Grads 629
The demographics of the survey respondents have remained fairly consistent over the last three years; however, the response rate has decreased from 79% in 2001 to 57% in 2002 to a current 48.3% in 2003. In general, satisfaction level has decreased in all but two of the areas on the survey. With a dramatic decrease in the completion ratio though, it is difficult to generalize that overall satisfaction has actually decreased. It will be difficult to follow-up with these graduates; however, efforts should be made to increase the response rate in 2004 for greater reliability. Satisfaction was rated on a five-point Likert scale, with 1 being very dissatisfied and 5 very satisfied. Items of interest: The greatest decrease in satisfaction is in food service/cafeteria, with a mean rating in 2001 of 3.52 and a mean of 3.01 in 2003, a .51 point decrease and 27.5% either dissatisfied or very dissatisfied. Satisfaction with Student Employment dropped from 3.69 in 2001 to 3.34 in 2003, a .35 pt. decrease. However, within this variable there were 55% of the respondents who were neutral. Satisfaction with tuition decreased .33 in the mean rating, from 4.08 in 2001 to 3.75 in 2003.
