Camp Description:
Fired Up About Welding is a free camp for high school students designed to spark interest in welding! The camp is taught by Lake Superior College welding instructors and local professional welders. Students will be introduced to a welding process called Gas Metal Arc Welding and fabricate some fun projects the participants can bring home with them. We will also explore some of the many career opportunities that exist locally for welders.
- Camp hours will be 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Drop-off for camp participants opens at 7:30 a.m. and pickup is at 3:30 p.m. both days.
- Participants should come to camp both days wearing jeans and closed toed shoes. All additional personal protective equipment for welding will be provided.
- Lunch will be provided.
- Please note that you will receive an additional form to complete in your confirmation e-mail. This form is required to complete your registration.
