The next Used Book Buyback will be held January 12,13,14, 2010, 9 AM to 5:00 PM in the commons, right outside of the bookstore.
Our bookstore arranges a "Used Book Buyback" three times each year. The first buy is done during final exam week of the fall semester, which is normally in December. The second buy is done during the final exam week of the spring semester, which is normally in May. The summer buy back is normally in July. The student book buy is ALWAYS scheduled during the week of final exams.
The "Used Book Buyback" is provided as a benefit to our students. Our Bookstore arranges to have a different company come to our school to buy books from our students. The LSC Bookstore does NOT buy used books directly from students at any time.
The dates of our next used book buy are as follows:
Final exam week in December 2009.
The value of your used books is determined by a number of different factors, such as; the copyright date that the book was published. (The older the date, the value goes down because newer and more updated information is available or will be coming available - new edition) College textbooks are valued on a national market. The more popular the book is nation wide, the higher it is valued. The book buyer can offer more money for a more popular book because he/she would have a better chance at reselling the book on the national college market. Books that are in an old edition are of no value for purposes of the book buy. Students can try and sell their books to other students either on-line or by posting notices.
