Transfer Checklist
To be a successful transfer student, you will spend a lot of time researching and planning your transfer. Below is a short checklist that will assist you in your transfer process.
First Year - Semester 1
- Meet with an advisor at LSC.
- Consider your career options.
- Request general information from four-year institutions you are interested in.
- Visit college campuses or take a virtual tour online.
First Year - Semester 2
- Explore career options.
- Visit colleges.
- Decide on a major.
Second Year - Semester 1
- Select three or four colleges for transfer.
- Talk with the admissions offices at the selected schools.
- Meet with faculty from your major at the different schools.
- Fill out applications and scholarship materials.
- Know the application and scholarhip deadlines.
Second Year - Semester 2
- Send out applications and scholarship information.
- Fill out FAFSA information.
- Apply to graduate from LSC.
- Attend early registration at your selected transfer school.
